How much does a jewelry appraisal cost?
Appraisal fees depend on the number of pieces and their complexity. Contact us or stop in for current pricing. There is never a charge for a quick verbal estimate if you just want a general idea of value.
Do I need a jewelry appraisal for insurance?
Yes. Most insurance companies require a written appraisal to add jewelry to your homeowner’s or renter’s policy. Without one, claims after a loss are often denied or settled far below replacement value. We recommend updating your appraisal every two to three years as market prices shift.
How long does a jewelry appraisal take?
Most single-piece appraisals are completed within a few business days. Multi-piece collections may take longer depending on scope. We’ll give you a clear timeline when you bring your pieces in.
What does a jewelry appraisal include?
You receive a detailed written report with high-resolution photographs, metal type and weight, gemstone identification and grading, measurements, and a current replacement valuation. It’s the kind of documentation insurance companies actually require.
Do I need an appointment for an appraisal?
No appointment needed for a drop-off. Walk in any time during business hours at our Surprise location in the West Point Town Center. We’ll inspect your piece, explain the process, and give you a timeline.

Should I get an appraisal to sell my jewelry?
Usually not. An appraisal documents replacement value for insurance — it isn’t what a buyer pays. When you sell, the offer is based on the current market and the piece itself, so an appraisal won’t raise it, and paying for one rarely makes sense. If you’re looking to sell, just bring it in and we’ll evaluate it at the counter for a straight, no-obligation offer.
